40 years ago the venerable Stiletto 30 catamaran created a bit of a sensation. There were two versions, the 27 and the 30 and we all wanted one of each. The boats were handsome, fast and provided basic accommodations – all in well built, trailer-able catamaran. Now the Stiletto 30 is back. If you missed your chance buying the old one (which you can still do at 15$K or less) the new -foiling version is out. Built on the Outer Banks in N. Carolina the Stiletto is a fun ride for the family and will get you into the foiling fraternity of Moth’s and America’s Cup flying boats. There will be two versions: The base model with reverse bows, dagger boards and the lightweight carbon “XF” version sporting curved foils a la Oracle.
