Gregor Tarjan 25 year professional background include his active involvement in the 1986 "Stars and Stripes" America's Cup campaign, a USCG-50 Ton Masters License, a degree in Yacht Design and Art History, which all contribute in providing exceptional service to clients. He is a US Merchant Marine officer, has owned numerous large catamarans and has participated in the Olympic Star Class, N.A. Championships. The Alibi 47 is safe boat to sail because the crew will tire less than on other boats. Shelter from the elements via the open plan saloon lets you hide from the storm yet be an arms length away from the helm. 360 degree views permit you steer from the inside or from the twin helms located behind the protective coach roof.

The Alibi 47 is unsinkable. She is built using ultra-strong composites with aramid fibers. High density foam and watertight compartments assure her positive floatation

The Alibi 47 has a unique aft water-ballast tank that can be quickly filled when the seas get high and the weather deteriorates. The weight in the transoms will keep the bows out of the water and provide for safer high speed surfs.

The Alibi 47 features asymmetric daggerboards and optional lifting rudders allowing you to sneak into the shallowest anchorages.

The Alibi 47 is a joy to single-hand. All controls are lead to the cockpit. If your crew is in trouble, you can reach port by yourself.

The Alibi 47 is a simple boat to sail because her loads and system weights have been reduced by applying Finite Element Analysis in her construction and forward thinking design in the layout and selection of her mechanical components.
