Gregor Tarjan 25 year professional background include his active involvement in the 1986 "Stars and Stripes" America's Cup campaign, a USCG-50 Ton Masters License, a degree in Yacht Design and Art History, which all contribute in providing exceptional service to clients. He is a US Merchant Marine officer, has owned numerous large catamarans and has participated in the Olympic Star Class, N.A. Championships. Gregor is fluent in German and French and his passion and theoretical knowledge of cruising multihulls can only be matched by his 20 years of practical experience sailing them across the oceans. He has sailed all types of catamarans from 20-120' in the most diverse waters from the Danube river to the alpine lakes of Nepal. He is co-author of the SAILORS MULTIHULL GUIDE, writer of numerous articles for MULTIHULLS, SAIL and CRUISING magazines and his new book: "Catamarans Offshore" is to be published soon.

11/05 Aeroyacht launches NY-Bermuda World Record attempt.

It has now been officially confirmed, that Gregor Tarjan, Aeroyacht's president, will attempt to break the existing powerboat record of 23 hours with "Aeroyacht Challenger" a revolutionary Blubay 45 foil assisted catamaran. The record attempt is scheduled for Summer 2007.

The Tender Cat 45’ is an asymmetrical planning Hydrofoil Supported Catamaran, capable of superior speed, efficiency, sea keeping, range and comfort. Originally conceived as the ultimate superyacht tender to one of BLUBAY's 138' catamarans, she had to be the safest, fastest and most efficient lifeboat available (...flatscreen TV, leather ceilings and teak decks included...)

Combining all these advantages, the HYSUCAT Concept, married with state of the art construction and exterior styling, places this craft in a league of its own. She is available in a Sport Cruiser as well as a Sport Fishing or an Open model. Power plant and drive system options range from 250 hp to 440 hp diesel inboard motors with a choice of `Z' Drive, Jet Propulsion or Surface Drives. Performance with a pair of 440 hp motors and surface drives will attain speeds well in excess of 40 knots.
