Outremer catamarans are renown for their seaworthiness and speed. More than 220 vessels have been built by the specialists yard in La Grande Motte, in the South of France and Outremer catamarans have won most Transatlantic and long distance races, which they have entered.

The Outremer 45 catamaran is probably the most successful Outremer model and more than 40 have been built since 2000. Typically the interior of an Outremer feels more like a vessel 5' shorter, yet the ability to sail in very light to extreme conditions remains unrivalled. The Outremer 45 catamaran's twin, high aspect ratio daggerboards will outperform and racing monohull to windward. Her twin skegs placed just ahead of the saildrives and rudders, will protect them from impacts and also allow for safe beaching. The super-aerodynamically shaped coachroof, which is shared by her larger sisters, the Outremer 50/55 Light, sleek hulls and beautifully arched crossbeams remain the visual trademarks of Outremer catamarans.

The Outremer 45 is a sailors boat first, which will allow for swift and reliable long distance adventures. She remains the only high production daggerboard catamaran in its class and comes with an EC-builders certificate and a 5 year structural warranty.
