St Francis 48

PEGASUS
for sale
Description:
The St. Francis 48 embodies
the 7th generation of the famous South African line of luxury cruising
catamarans expertly manufactured by St. Francis Marine. Her full volume bows, high
freeboard and bridge-deck clearance and superb construction make her an extremely
seaworthy vessel capable of handling the rigors of the South African Coast and beyond.
Clean lines, exemplary sail handling and a reputable boatyard with a long history of building blue water cruising cats, make the boat
desirable for both private or charter ownership. An optional 8 higher "Turbo
Rig" will satisfy even the most speed hungry cruisers. The interior is meticulously
finished and the exquisite joinery work in a choice of maple, cherry or other hardwood of
choice, reminds of long past old world craftsmanship. Ingenious touches, such
as a walk through cockpit with easy access to the swim platform, a table for 8 that
disappears in its custom made compartment below the deck-floor and a clever dinghy
retrieval system, show the high level of experience and design work that has gone into
this vessel. The very roomy interior can be ordered in various layout choices and is
ideally suited for extended voyages. It allows for a high payload, a fact that is often
neglected by other cruising multihulls. The vessel comes with a significant builders
warranty and is conceived by a sailor, who puts his vast offshore experience into each
boat he builds.
