Hull configuration: vacuum bagged, hand laid-up foam core decks, bulkheads, stringers built in OCS® (Overlap Composite Construction System) Monolithic vacuum bagged high aspect ratio hulls, incorporating longitudinal omegas, full buoyancy bow-sections and reverse transom with molded boarding steps. Twin, performance daggerboards. Numerous watertight compartments, forward “crash-box” filled with foam. EC Certified to “Ocean” category A, unsinkable.

    High aspect ratio sloop rig, fully battened main, self tacking jib on furler. Optional bowsprit with gennaker and asymmetric spinnaker.
  • Accommodations are fully customizable:
    Standard layout: Main saloon: Galley up along entire aft side of saloon. To port a very spacious forward looking nav station with full size chart table, large L-shaped lounge with table to starboard. Port hull: Comfortable aft stateroom with lockers and shelves, mid-ships is a head and shower. Forward: Stateroom with double berth and hanging locker. Starboard hull: Very large head aft with separate walk in shower and lockers. Mid-ships a double berth and a forward stateroom with hanging locker and shelves.
  • Helm locations:
    Aft, against outboard side of rear coach-roof wall, providing excellent forward visibility to both bows and protection from spray.
  • Deck Layout:
    Large cockpit with table and lounge area. Aerodynamic cabin top. Wide, flat antiskid decks, with low profile skylights and hatches. Trampoline forward with centrally located rigid walkway incorporating anchor locker. Abundant storage in forward hull compartments and in cockpit.
  • Aux. Engine type and location:
    Twin 28HP Yanmar diesels with saildrives, fresh water cooled. With standard capacity fuel tanks, the O45 has a range of 625 nm at a steaming speed of about 8knots. This phenomenal performance is due to her super streamlined, high aspect ratio hulls.
