Fountaine Pajot cat rounds Cape Horn

We often receive inquiries by customers who are not quite familiar with the sea keeping qualities of our catamarans. “Can they cross oceans?” Well here are some enlightening news. Just recently a South African Orana 44 catamaran has rounded the notorious Cape Horn! Fountaine Pajot catamarans are based in France on the jagged shores of the wild Bay of Biscay. Over the last33 years 2200 catamarans have been launched year round into the wild waters of the North Atlantic. I often come back from test sails beat up and frozen – but these seaworthy catamarans handle it without a glitch. We wish the Orana 44 “Spirit of Africa” fair winds and keep you updated with her new adventures.
