Sighting the Chine
Tom Schaeffer is seen here sighting along the upper port chine – a very delicate task as any imperfections now will be visible once the hulls are created. Today sanding with 320 and 480 grit sandpaper continued as the starboard hull mold received its first web frames. Later next week a giant, rolling steel structure will be erected around the hull molds in order to facilitate moving it and orientating the lamination surfaces in an ideal position for working.
